(Sacramento, CA) – PRS Guitars has partnered with The Music Experience and artist Ron Williams of RONZWORLD to bring two custom designed, completely hand-painted SE Zach Myers models to the festival grounds of Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK this past weekend at Discovery Park.
The guitars were painted by Ron on-site for the purpose of a charity auction supporting Take Me Home Animal Rescue, a not-for-profit, volunteer based foundation dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals since 2001.
The unique interaction allowed festival-goers to watch the AFTERSHOCK-style art come to life as Ron painted live within The Music Experience footprint, an interactive exhibit that brings professional music industry elements and instruments to consumers to browse, shop and play.
“What PRS and Ron did together embodies everything we believe in at The Music Experience. It shows the human side of a guitar manufacturer, the artistic side of a truly forward thinking artist, the charity component and the overall merging of our instrument industry in a new exciting environment to showcase the best instruments in the world,” stated “Squiggy” DiGiacomo, Founder of The Music Experience.
“I like to design the art as I paint and I’m influenced by my surroundings,” says Ron. “To paint while in the center of the excitement and energy of the crowd was an awesome experience, and I think that’s really reflected in the final artwork.”
In a true “anything can happen at a rock festival” moment, a couple who had just become engaged earlier in the day approached Ron; they wanted to buy one of the guitars to mark their engagement.
The couple didn’t wait for the auction, rather, they made a generous donation to Take Me Home and became proud owners of the first AFTERSHOCK guitar.
“I can’t think of a better cause, and a happier ending” says Ron. “It was a fantastic effort by everyone involved; I’m very excited to be collaborating with innovative brands like PRS, AFTERSHOCK's Danny Wimmer Presents and The Music Experience, that all show a commitment to community.”
”We’ve enjoyed being a part of The Music Experience at AFTERSHOCK and numerous other festivals this past season. The education and energy level helps inspire new players and gives festival goers a place where they can, while taking a break from watching their favorite bands, shred away on all the latest gear,” stated Jeanne Nooney, PRS Guitars Public Relations and Event Manager. “Having Ron Williams of RONZWORLD, hand-paint two PRS guitars at The Music Experience during the AFTERSHOCK festival added a totally new element of interest. Everyone was excited to watch the process and blown away by the unique results which were auctioned off for Take Me Home Animal Rescue.”
RONZWORLD Guitars is the result of award-winning artist Ron Williams’ endeavor to combine his love of music with his artistic talent. Until recently, his art has been commissioned by private clientele. Now, he is bringing his talent to the music industry and guitar enthusiasts through his original designs with custom-painted guitars. Ron personally designs and paints each instrument with art that he directly hand paints on to the guitar bodies. No stickers, printed graphics, or wraps of any kind are used in these original, one-of-a-kind creations. Ron's mission is simple: to create instruments as unique as the musicians who play them.

About Take Me Home Animal Rescue:
Take Me Home is a not for profit, volunteer based foundation that has been saving the lives of homeless animals since 2001. Many families living in low-income areas cannot afford medical care, basic vaccinations, or spay/neuter surgeries for their companion animals. The donations raised help us to fund mobile veterinary hospitals to travel into these under-served areas to provide free spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchipping and administer medical care for animals in desperate need. Take Me Home also supports local animal charities. Come by the booth to help out our furry friends by buying a shirt, signed merchandise, and entering a raffle. Danny Wimmer, Founder, DWP, said, "DWP is proud to support various charities, giving them a national platform to promote their messages. We are particularly fond of Take Me Home, which advocates for animal adoption. I hope everyone stops by their booth and supports their fundraising efforts to help animals in need."
