(Anaheim, CA) —Zemaitis® Guitars, known globally as a hallmark of guitar design and manufacturing, will make a splash at NAMM this January.
Favored by the highest level players such as Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Keith Richards, among others, Zemaitis’ revolutionary "Metal Front" design, custom pickups, elaborate mosaic finishes and superior construction will be on full display in a second floor suite alongside brands like PRS, ESP, Schecter and Taylor.
The pioneer of hand-crafted guitars will take their brand promise of “art with strings” to a new level – giving four artists the opportunity to design guitars that will be featured within a art gallery style exhibit. Artists Rodrigo Tovar, Tony Mash and Armen Buchaklan will be creating new etching designs that will compliment the existing line of unmistakable Zemaitis “Metal Fronts”. In a new twist, guitar artist Ron Williams of RONZWORLD Guitars has also been tapped to come up with unique, all hand painted designs that will be featured on the Zemaitis “Z Series” guitars.
“I’ve been a fan of Zemaitis for quite some time and I'm honored to be chosen to represent them at the NAMM show,” says Ron Williams. “Their unique approach in combining art with a quality instrument is something that really resonates with me and my brand. Im looking forward to putting some cool art on these awesome guitars.”
“We are very excited and blessed to partner with these amazing artists for the NAMM show. We carefully selected artists who have a very unique and vibrant style that will really stun an audience as well as resonate well with our brand image,” stated Greg Auger, Marketing Manager, Kanda Shokai USA.
Zemaitis Guitars is a guitar-manufacturing company based in Tokyo, Japan. The company's guitars are based on designs by the Lithuanian luthier Tony Zemaitis. Zemaitis retired in 2000. Before his death in 2002 Zemaitis began working with Kanda Shokai to preserve the brand in a way that could satisfy his original vision, bring his designs to a more diverse audience and to continue innovating into the future. Working closely with both Tony and later his family along with Tony’s original gun engraver Danny O'Brien., Kanda Shokai continues Zemaitis’ production of both electric and acoustic guitars. Zemaitis Guitars opened a location in Corona, California in 2016 to handle all distribution for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Danny O'Brien continues to enhance the visual aspect of the guitars with his unique style and engraving skills. Zemaitis designs include intricately engraved metal tops, elaborate pearl inlay work, complete mosaic pearl and abalone tops that round out a stunning line up of instruments.
RONZWORLD Guitars is the result of award-winning artist Ron Williams’ endeavor to combine his love of music with his artistic talent. Until recently, his art has been commissioned by private clientele. Now, he is bringing his talent to the music industry and guitar enthusiasts through his original designs with custom-painted guitars. Ron personally designs and paints each instrument with art that he directly hand paints on to the guitar bodies. No stickers, printed graphics, or wraps of any kind are used in these original, one-of-a-kind creations. Ron's mission is simple: to create instruments as unique as the musicians who play them.
